Les dimensions transnationales des migrations ont pris une importance théorique et ethnographique croissante. Les liens et mobilités qu'elles supposent sont souvent accompagnés par la construction sociale et symbolique des espaces d'appartenance. Dans cet article, nous montrons que la mort est une bonne métaphore pour penser cette production des lieux et des espaces d'appartenance dans des contextes transnationaux. La mort implique la circulation d'univers symboliques, dans lesquels la notion de processus est fondamentale, en particulier dans le maintien de la relation avec le lieu d'origine. The transnational dimensions of migration have grown in importance, both from a theoretical and an ethnographical point of view. Such ties and mobilities are frequently accompanied by the social and symbolic construction of spaces of belonging. In this text we want to show how death is a good metaphor to think about the production of places and spaces of belonging and relating in several transnational contexts. Death implies the circulation of symbolic universes in which the notion of process is extremely important, especially in what concerns the maintenance of the relationship with the space of origin.
