Cet article présente des récits de mariages d'hommes et de femmes vivant dans un village de la Costa Chica du Guerrero, recueillis au cours d'une recherche ethnographique. Leurs récits font transparaître des unions de différentes formes sur trois générations ainsi que la transformation des rapports d'autorité entre parents et enfants. L'autorité des parents qui prévalait dans la génération des grands-parents a été critiquée de façon persistante et par conséquent fragilisée, donnant lieu à l'acceptation de l'initiative des enfants pour choisir le moment, la façon et la personne avec qui ils se marieront. Cette transformation de la hiérarchie familiale est intelligible au travers des critères qui guident le jugement des acteurs de chaque génération quant à la légitimité du mariage : établir, retenir et consentir. Marriage horizons and criteria of legitimacy in three generations: establishing, retaining and agreeingThis article presents the marriage stories of men and women who live in a small town in the Costa Chica of the state of Guerrero. The stories were gathered in an ethnographic research and tell us about the different forms of union throughout three generations, letting us see the transformation of the authority relationship among parents and children. The authority that was prevalent in the time of their grandparents has been common object of criticism ; therefore it has been debilitated and has given place to the acceptance of the children's choice about the time, person and manner to get married. This transformation of the family hierarchy can be understood through the different criteria that individuals in each generation use to evaluate the legitimacy of marriage: establishing, retaining and agreeing.
