	Résumé	La réconciliation franco-allemande est souvent présentée comme un modèle pour et dans les pays des Balkans Occidentaux. Le problème est que cette perception ne prend pas suffisamment en compte les différences entre d'un coté les guerres entre France et Allemagne et l'histoire d'après guerre, et les guerres dans les Balkans et leurs après-guerres.D'un autre coté, souligner seulement les différences entre les deux histoires et nier que l'expérience franco-allemande ne pourrait être d'aucun intérêt pour les Balkans, cache le potentiel très riche de l'expérience française et allemande comme stimulus d'une discussion productive et d'un rejaillissement sur les Balkans Occidentaux sur comment surmonter la guerre et reconstruire une coopération entre d'anciens ennemis.Dans cette perspective, il est important de voir la réconciliation franco-allemande non comme un modèle mais comme une motivation pour les Balkans Occidentaux, de trouver ses propres formes de reconstruction et coopération et pour cela de permettre une approche critique de l'histoire franco-allemande, de l'hostilité à la coopération et pas seulement la présenter comme une success story. Travailler sur la réconciliation franco-allemande offre en même temps aux Balkans une possibilité d'en apprendre plus sur une des dimensions les plus importantes de l'intégration européenne et peut aussi aider à participer à la construction d'une mémoire européenne commune et d'aller plus en avant dans le processus de rapprochement entre les Balkans Occidentaux et l'UE.Basé sur de nombreuses expériences sur le traitement de l'histoire franco-allemande dans des séminaires internationaux de formation sur les Balkans qui ont eu lieu dans le cadre du South Eastern Europe Initiative, cet article analysera d'un côté les similarités et différences partagées pendant et après la guerre et d'un autre côté, les différentes expériences actuelles de traitement de l'histoire franco-allemande dans le contexte des Balkans et explorer les possibilités d'user de ces expériences dans des séminaires de formation et autres activités internationales. 	Résumé anglais	French German reconciliation and the Balkans: it's not a model, it's a motivation The French-German reconciliation is often presented as a model to and in the countries of the Western Balkans. The problem with that perception is that it does not take seriously enough into account the differences between the French-German war and post-war history on the one side and the Balkan war and post-war history on the other side. On the other hand, to emphasize only the differences between both histories and to refute that the French-German experience could be of any interest for the Balkans, oversees the rich potential of the French-German experience as one useful stimulus to a productive discussion and reflection in the Western Balkans about overcoming war and building up co-operation between former enemies. In that perspective, it is important to see French-German reconciliation not as a model, but as a motivation for Western Balkans to find own forms of reconstruction and co-operation, and for that also to allow a critical approach of French-German history from hostility to co-operation and not just present it as a fantastic success story. At the same time, to work on the French-German reconciliation projects is also a possibility for the Western Balkans to learn more about one important dimension of the history of european integration and can also help in the building of a common european memory and in the process of rapprochment between the Western Balkans and the European Union. Based on numerous experiences of treatment of French-German history in international training seminars in the Balkans in the framework of the South Eastern Europe Initiative of the French-German Youth Office, the paper will on the one hand analyze similarities and differences of both war and post-war-histories and on the other hand present different experiences of treatment of French-German history in a Balkan context and explore the possibilities to use these experiences in training seminars and other international activities.
