	Résumé	Quinze ans après la parution de l'ouvrage « Économie publique Locale » de Pierre-Henry DERYCKE et de Guy GILBERT, l'article s'interroge sur les modifications qu'il faudrait introduire afin d'y intégrer les apports récents de la théorie économique, des études empiriques et les modifications de l'environnement économique et institutionnel. Ces apports sont présentés selon qu'ils relèvent d'une perspective « spatiale » de l'économie publique locale ou d'une perspective « institutionnelle ». Trois thèmes ont fait l'objet d'approfondissements considérables. Le premier concerne l'hypothèse de la capitalisation fiscale qui s'enrichit désormais d'une perspective spatiale et dont les nouveaux tests empiriques confirment le caractère partiel. Le second concerne le concept et la mesure de la congestion des biens publics locaux et leur introduction dans des modèles complets de dépenses publiques locales. Le troisième concerne la concurrence fiscale entre collectivités, verticale ou horizontale, objet de développements aussi bien normatifs que positifs.Des thèmes nouveaux sont également apparus qui concernent à titre principal les relations financières entre collectivités publiques ou le « fédéralisme financier » ; certains relèvent à nouveau d'une perspective spatiale comme l'introduction de la rente foncière dans le dispositif ; d'autres réexaminent la théorie standard de TIEBOUT -OATES - BUCHANAN à la lumière de la microéconomie des asymétries informationnelles. 	Résumé anglais	Local public economics fifteen years later : between space and territory The paper concentrates on the changes which would be necessary to introduce in a new edition of the textbook « Économie Publique Locale » authored by Pierre-Henry DERYCKE and Guy GILBERT and first published in 1988, in order to take into account the development of economic analysis and the evolution of the institutional and economic conditions since that time. Two perspectives are chosen ; the first one highlights the development of spatial economic theory, the second emphasizes an institutional view of local public economics. The developments concentrated on three separate topics ; firstly the tax capitalization hypothesis which enriched now with a spatial perspective ; secondly the concept of congestion applied to local public goods which is introduced in a more satisfactory way in the modeling of local spending behavior ; thirdly fiscal competition among local governments (vertical as well as horizontal) which received considerable attention through the two last decades both from a normative and a positive point of view. New topics of research appeared as well related with the issue of the intergovernmental fiscal relations (i.e. the « fiscal federalism ») ; the economic literature expanded in two separate directions, one « spatial » which incorporates the land surplus in the fiscal federalism conceptual framework, the second reinterpreting the traditional TIEBOUT - OATES - BUCHANAN model with the of the modern microeconomics of asymmetrical information.
