La destitution du président Mohamed Morsi sous les acclamations de millions d'Egyptiens ne constitue pas à proprement parler un “coup d'État” contrairement à une idée très répandue dans les médias. Il s'agit d'un nouvel acte ou d'une nouvelle étape de la “révolution” qui est en marche en Egypte depuis les événements du 25 janvier 2011. Les Frères musulmans ont commis un certain nombre d'erreurs rédhibitoires à l'origine de leur échec et de leur mise à l'écart, coalisant contre eux une majorité d'Egyptiens. Egypt: from one revolution to another? The deposition of President Mohamed Morsi, to the cheering of millions of Egyptians, is not strictly speaking a ‘coup', contrary to a widespread idea in the media. It is a new act or a new stage in the ‘revolution' that has been under way in Egypt since the events of 25 January 2011. The Muslim Brotherhood has committed a certain number of unacceptable errors which led to their downfall and to their being ostracised, bringing the majority of Egyptians together against them.
