Les sciences englobées dans la catégorie tibétaine tsi (rtsis), « le calcul », comprennent la lecture du calendrier et l'astrologie et, de façon secondaire, la divination. La première est essentiellement basée sur le K?lacakra, un tantra tardif qui, venant de l'Inde, fut introduit au XIIe siècle, et la seconde repose sur des précédents chinois. Bien que la littérature savante concernant l'assimilation par les Tibétains de ces sciences se soit beaucoup développée, il n'y a pas encore eu d'étude sur la façon dont elles ont été intégrées à la religion Bon. En utilisant l'exemple du curriculum en usage dans un monastère bonpo en Inde, cet article explore le contexte pédagogique dans lequel l'astrologie et (dans une moindre mesure) la divination selon les éléments sont enseignés aux jeunes moines. The sciences subsumed within the Tibetan category tsi (rtsis), « calculation, » include calendrical reckoning and astrology (kartsi ; dkar rtsis) and, secondly, elemental divination (naktsi ; nag rtsis). The former is essentially based on the K?lacakra, a late tantra that was introduced from India in the twelfth century, and the latter on Chinese precedents. Although scholarly literature concerning the Tibetans'assimilation of these sciences is steadily growing, there has so far been almost no discussion of the way in which they have been adopted into the Bon religion. Using the example of the educational curriculum of a Bonpo monastery in India, this article explores the pedagogical context within which astrology and (to a lesser extent) elemental divination are taught to young monks.
