Les intranets sont devenus des outils de travail et de partage des connaissances incontournables au sein des entreprises. Face au développement exponentiel des informations et des connaissances dans l'entreprise, ils sont de plus en plus riches et complexes, ce qui pose de fréquents problèmes d'accès et d'usage de l'information. Dans cet article nous nous intéressons à la façon dont l'architecture de l'information peut contribuer à ce que nous proposons d'appeler l'utilisabilité informationnelle. Nous définissons cette notion en nous intéressant en particulier à la repérabilité et à la qualité de l'information. A contribution of information architecture to information usability: the case of the intranets Intranets have become key to business and knowledge sharing within companies. Due to the increasing amounts of information and knowledge across the organisations, they get more and more complex and rich. This generates frequent problems of information access and usage. In this article, we explore the way information architecture can contribute to what we call « information usability ». We define this concept through a focus on findability and information quality.
