L'architecture de l'information est une activité qui prend place au sein de l'éditorialisation, champ de pratique qui couvre l'ensemble de la chaîne éditoriale numérique. La grille d'analyse proposée par Sarfati en Linguistique pragmatique permet de comprendre le rôle de l'AI dans le procès de médiatisation et de la situer face aux autres domaines d'activité. Transposée à la chaîne éditoriale numérique, cette grille nous permet en effet d'aborder la chaîne éditoriale numérique comme un procès de médiatisation du sens commun dans lequel l'AI joue un rôle spécifique, à un moment donné. Information architecture and Publication processing Information architecture is an activity that takes place in the scope of publication processing, a field that covers the entire chain of digital editing. To understand the function of IA in this chain, we will use an analytical framework conceived by George-Elia Sarfati within the field of Pragmatics. This framework explains the production of shared meaning ie a proper transmission of intentionality and meaning. When used in the context of publication processing, Sarfati's framework stresses how the digital editing chain sets a process of mediatization, or production of an informational object, along with a production of shared meaning.
