Dans cet article nous montrerons comment le design graphique d'information poursuit le dessein de rendre accessible la complexité des relations entre objets, choses et processus. Nous proposons l'idée d'habiter l'information car si voir est bel et bien dans notre environnement contemporain voir en relation (Arnheim) ; l'évolution des modes de visualisation – 3D interactive, réalité augmentée – permet de proposer l'hypothèse d'une hybridation de notre oïkos, de notre demeure contemporaine, avec les données informationnelles. En unissant leurs méthodes et leurs cultures, le designer et l'architecte pourraient lui donner forme et sens dans une vision renouvelée du métier d'architecte d'information. To see in relation : live in information ? In this article I will tend to show how graphic design of information strives to make accessible the complexity of relations between items, object and process. I introduce the idea of living in information, for if seeing is well and truly in our contemporary environment seeing in relation (Arnheim) ; the evolution of viewing systems – interactive 3D, Augmented Reality – allows the hypothesis of a hybridization of our oïkos, of our contemporary dwelling, with informational data. By uniting their methods and knowledge, designers and architects could give a shape to this contemporary dwelling in an updated vision of the profession of information architect.
