Le manga, de par son format d'ultra-consommation, est devenu un épiphénomène culturel sans précédent en Occident. Aussi ce texte tentera-t-il d'extraire quelques éléments significatifs de son attraction actuelle. En prenant en considération le fait que le manga est l'émanation d'une culture profondément imprégnée par ses souches bouddhistes – ukiyo : monde flottant –, ainsi que le fruit de l'observation attentive du cinéma et de la bande dessinée occidentale, nous émettrons l'hypothèse que ses techniques visuelles renforceraient la tendance actuelle du principe d'immersion et d'imprégnation aux mondes fictionnels. The manga because of its format of ultra-consumption became a particular cultural epiphenomenon in the West. Thus, this text will try to extract some significant elements of its current attraction. Considering that the manga is the emanation of a culture profoundly soaked by its Buddhist origins – ukiyo: floating world –, as well as the result of the attentive observation of the cinema and the comics, we shall emit the hypothesis that its visual techniques would strengthen the current trend of the principle of and impregnation to the fictional worlds.
