| Résumé | LA CONSTRUCTION THÉMATIQUE DU CONFLIT EN EX- YOUGOSLAVIE PAR LES JOURNAUX TÉLÉVISÉS FRANÇAIS (1990-1994) Une première analyse quantitative, sur cinq ans, du traitement du conflit en ex- Yougoslavie par les chaines françaises a été menée aux archives de l'Inathèque. Elle permet d'évaluer le capital, la hiérarchisation thématique et la distribution en domaines scéniques de l'événement mettant en évidence les lois qui régissent la couverture de l'événement : proximité, spectacularité, partage de la compassion. | |
| Résumé anglais | THE THEMATIC CONSTRUCTION OF THE CONFLICT IN THE FORMER YUGOSLAVIA BY FRENCH TELEVISION NEWS (1990-1994) The first quantitative analysis, based upon five years, of the French networks' treatment of the conflict in the former Yugoslavia has been conducted in the archives of Inathèque. It allows us to evaluate the capital, the thematic hierarchization, and the distribution of the event into scenic domains, thus demonstrating the laws that regulate news coverage : proximity, fascination with the spectacular, and the distribution of compassion. | |
