Le corps, lecteur social privilégié des cultures et des identités, occupe une place centrale dans le processus d'émancipation des jeunes Maghrébines. Pour ces filles, l'affirmation autonome de soi passe par la réappropriation objective et symbolique de leur corps, par ailleurs objet de légitimation d'une domination masculine. Cet article présente les fonctions qu'occupe la construction sociale des corps dans le processus de recomposition des identités féminines chez les jeunes générations de Maghrébines. Female bodies : the stake of emancipation
The body, privileged social reader of cultures and identities occupies a central place in the emancipation process of young girls from the Maghreb For the young women, the autonomous self affirmation goes through the objective and symbolical appropriation of their body which is furthermore the object of legitimisation of a male domination. This paper presents the functions of the social construction of the bodies in a process of reconstruction of female identities for the young generations of girls from the Maghreb.
