Ex-organisation de masse communiste devenue grande association humanitaire, le Secours populaire français a opéré depuis le milieu des années 1950 un aggiornamento passant par la démocratisation interne, gage de son émancipation du PCF et de sa nouvelle fonction démocratique dans l'espace public («aiguillon des pouvoirs publics» et réinvention d'une «fonction tribunitienne», via un rapport ambivalent au politique). Le prisme monographique permet cependant de pointer la persistance d'héritages qui, bien que pour certains spécifiques, n'en renvoient pas moins à des caractéristiques plus générales du monde associatif. Democratization of the Secours Populaire Français
Former communist mass organization become great humanitarian association, the Secours Populaire Français operated since the middle 1950' s an aggiornamento going through an internal democratization, the guarantee of its emancipation from the PCF and of its new democratic function in the public space (" stimulus of the authorities " and reinvention of the forum function ", via an ambivalent relation to policies). The monographic prism however makes it possible to point up the persistence of the legacy which, although specific for certain, refer to more general characteristics of the associative world.
