La sociologie du droit au Brésil a ses origines entre la fin du siècle dernier et le début du nôtre. Il s'agit d'un savoir qui, bien qu'il soit influencé par la pensée européenne (et actuellement fortement américaine), a toujours répondu concrètement aux problématiques historiquement existantes. Cependant, en raison du fort contenu théorique de sa matrice constitutive, tournée beaucoup plus vers les questions théorico-politiques que vers la recherche, et elle commence à se définir, aujourd'hui seulement, comme un savoir critique de la matérialité sociale. The sociology of law in Brasil has its origins between the end of last century and the begining of our century. It is a matter of knowledge which, however it has been infîuenced by the european thought (nowadays strongly), has always responded in concrete terms to the problematics historically existing.
