Résumé anglais Christian women's labour unions represent an original contribution to the world of French unions in the period between the two World Wars. For women only, these organizations favoured the emergence of a feminine militancy that indelibly marked the Christian labour movement. The activity of these women took the form of a social apostolate in the service of an ideal. They did not hesitate to publicly proclaim their faith and to integrate outward manifestations of their Catholic culture into their union activity. Putting into practice their discourse, they forged their engagement around the affirmation of a militant faith in the framework of a union organization.
