	Résumé	Parmi la vingtaine de carnets encore disponibles aujourd'hui pour la recherche, le catéchisme testérien conservé dans l'actuelle Staatsbibliothek de Berlin est un exemple particulièrement intéressant. Non seulement sa forme (une seule planche grande taille constituée à base de fibres d'agave) mais également l'histoire de son déchiffrement attirent l'attention. Collectionné en premier lieu par Boturini, puis León y Gama, et acheté par la suite par Humboldt, le manuscrit pictographique a aussi été étudié par le célèbre Eduard Seler. Afin d'envisager d'une manière nouvelle l'usage de cet outil, cet article remet en contexte les commentaires que l'étude de ce petit catéchisme a occasionnés tout en apportant de nouvelles pistes et hypothèses découlant de son étude mise en regard avec celle de catéchismes en nahuatl publiés dès le xvie siècle. 	Résumé anglais	Among some twenty notebooks currently available, the catechism preserved in the Berlin Staatsbibliothek is a particularly interesting example. Both its material form (a single big sheet made of sisal fibers) and the history of its deciphering deserve attention. Starting with Boturini, the first collector, then with León y Gama, and purchased afterwards by Humboldt, this pictographic manuscript was also studied by Eduard Seler. This article addresses the uses of this catechetical tool in a new way, by contextualizing the commentaries that its study brought forth. It also raises new issues by comparing it with Nahuatl catechisms published in the 16th century. Source : Éditeur (via OpenEdition Journals)
