La création artistique fut et demeure depuis toujours un matériau riche et intéressant pour les psychologues. Plusieurs auteurs comprennent ce processus comme un espace transitionnel qui métaphorise la première relation à la mère, premier objet de désir, dans l'en deçà du Désir. Cette relation au premier objet peut être considérée comme une enveloppe qui servira plus tard d'écran projectif capable de recevoir l'émergence de la production artistique.L'objectif de notre recherche consiste à explorer les processus mis en jeu dans la production artistique de 7 peintres professionnels, afin d'analyser la relation qu'ils entretiennent avec leurs œuvres.
Les processus artistiques sont explorés au regard du « Moi-peau », concept développé par un psychanalyste français, Didier Anzieu (1985). Pour ce faire, nous avons questionné chacune des fonctions du Moi-peau : maintenance, contenance, pare-excitation, individuation, consensualité, soutien à l'excitation sexuelle, recharge libidinale, inscription de traces.
La confrontation de ces fonctions avec les processus de création indique la nécessité pour l'artiste de lier intimement : corps et penser; archaïsme et représentation; sensorialité et mentalisation.
L'artiste est une « personne » qui articule les processus psychiques naissant dans l'en deçà du Désir (fonction maternelle), tout autant que ceux du Désir (fonction paternelle). Source : Éditeur (via Cairn.info) |

As one of the finest works of man, the artistic creation has always been a major source of interest for psychologists. Several authors now consider that this process can be understood as a transitional space that metaphorizes the primary maternal relationship, first object of desire, first inkling of Desire. They regard the maternal relationship as an envelope which will later on serve as a projective screen for enabling the emergence of artistic productions. The purpose of our presentation is to further explore the functions associated with the artistic productions of 7 professional painters, as well as to better define the relationship they have developed with their art work.
The results are discussed in the context of the « Moi-peau » model developed by the French psychoanalyst, Didier Anzieu (1985), in terms of the following functions : maintenance, containment, protective-shield, individuation, consensuality, sexual stimulation support, libidinal reloading, and trace recording. Overall, they indicate that the process of artistic creation is intimately linked with the artist's ability to elaborate the following tensions : body vs. mind, archaism vs. representation, and sensoriality vs. mentalization.
The artist is a « person » who articulates the psychic processes coming from the inkling of desire (maternal function), as much as those arising from of the Desire (paternal function). Source : Éditeur (via Cairn.info) |
