Seize ans après le conflit, Mitrovica et le Kosovo se trouvent plongés dans une logique de partition durable, à l'instar de Nicosie et de Chypre. Dans la ville de Mitrovica/ Mitrovicë, la rivière Ibar sépare deux espaces que tout divise. Au Kosovo, une partition de facto est apparue dans l'immédiat postconflit
entre le Nord, quasi intégralement peuplé de Serbes et tourné vers la Serbie, et le reste du pays majoritairement albanais, centré sur Pristina. Nous étudions ici le processus qui a amené à la création de cette frontière officieuse et inédite du territoire du Kosovo, en montrant le rôle joué par l'ensemble des

Sixteen years after the war, Mitrovica and the Kosovo are sustainably divided,
like Nicosia and Cyprus. In the town of Mitrovica/Mitrovicë, the Ibar River divides two opposite places. On the Kosovo territory, a de facto partition appeared in the first months of the post-conflict period, between the North, mainly populated by Serbs and turned towards Serbia, and the rest of the country, with a prevalently Albanian population, turned towards Pristina. We study the process which led to this new and non-official division and we describe the implication of all post-conflict actors, Serbs, Albanians and International organizations.
