L'une des manifestations musicales les plus importantes au Brésil au cours des dernières décennies, le Manguebeat ou Manguebit, apparue à Recife, la capitale de l'état de Pernambuco, se diffuse au début des années 1990. En utilisant la notion de scène musicale, on souligne la composition du Manguebeat, basée sur l'articulation de sujets provenant de différents endroits de Recife, agglomération urbaine historiquement marquée par l'inégalité socio-territoriale. Nous présentons la méthodologie de recherche fondée sur la collecte d'informations primaires, à partir d'entretiens semi-directifs et de visites techniques. On observe que la Scène Manguebeat a renforcé la dynamique culturelle de Recife et l'appropriation de la ville à partir de la production culturelle. Cultural Production and Urbanization: The Manguebeat Scene at Recife One of the most important musical manifestations in Brazil over the course of the last few decades, Manguebeat or Manguebit, has its roots in Recife, the capital of the state of Pernambuco, and expanded throughout the early 1990s. Utilizing the notion of a musical scene, we underline the composition of Manguebeat, based on the articulations of subjects from different places in Recife, an urban agglomeration historically marked by socio-territorial inequality. We present a research methodology founded on the collection of primary sources, through interviews and visits. We demonstrate that the Manguebeat scene has strengthened the cultural dynamic of Recife, and the appropriation of the city through cultural production.
