Le rôle des schémas utilisés dans les consultations en cancérologie a été peu étudié en psychologie sociale. S'appuyant sur un recueil de données qualitatives au sein d'une institution de soin, nous postulons que les schémas produits lors de la consultation chirurgicale permettent aux patientes traitées pour un cancer du sein d'objectiver leur connaissance de la maladie. Nous analysons leur rôle grâce aux trois phases du processus d'objectivation dans l'étude des représentations sociales que nous articulons au concept du schéma. Source : Éditeur (via Cairn.info) |

Schemas and social representations: Their role in the experience of breast cancer The role of schemas used in oncology consultations has been rarely studied in social psychology. Based on a collection of qualitative data within a health care institution, we postulate that the schemas produced during the surgical consultation allow patients treated for breast cancer to objectify their knowledge of the disease. We analyse their role through the three phases of the process of objectification in the study of social representations that we articulate to the concept of schema.
