Le Brexit est le symptôme d'une crise du projet européen. Les peuples d'Europe ne se reconnaissent pas dans la bureaucratie bruxelloise et tendent à se replier sur leur pré carré national. Toutefois, la coopération intergouvernementale fonctionne mal, comme l'a notamment montré la gestion de la crise des réfugiés. Les institutions européennes, telles qu'elles existent aujourd'hui, sont à bout de souffle. Seul un saut fédéral permettra de sortir de l'impasse.

Brexit is the symptom of the crisis of the European project. The various peoples of Europe do not identify with Brussels bureaucrats and are retreating behind national boundaries. All the while, intergovernmental cooperation is not functioning well, highlighted most notably by the handling of the refugee crisis.
