Amartya Sen propose de rapprocher la théorie de la
capacité de la théorie du capital humain. L'examen de
la pertinence de ce rapprochement permet de
conclure à la fertilité de l'approche de la capacité pour
les théories de l'éducation. Cette approche permet un
raffinement de la théorie du capital humain. Dans de
nombreux pays, les restrictions à la mobilité sociale
peuvent être importantes. Ceci va se traduire par une
chute plus ou moins grande du rendement du capital
humain. L'introduction de l'évaluation des niveaux de
liberté de choix par la théorie de la capacité permet de
mieux différencier les situations de chaque pays, et

THE LEARNING CAPABILITY
Amartya Sen proposes to bring closer the capability theory and the human capital theory. The examination of this bringing together shows the fertility of the capability approach for the theories of education. This approach allows a refinement of the human capital theory. In many countries, the restrictions on the social mobility can be significant. This will result in a more or less large fall of the output of the human capital. The introduction of the evaluation of the levels of freedom of choice by the capability theory makes it possible to better differentiate the situations from each country, and to advance suitable solutions.
