Cet article met en évidence la contribution remarquable et originale de Richard Stone à l'analyse input-output, étroitement liée à sa carrière nationale et internationale. Son apport principal est d'avoir contribué au développement d'une normalisation internationale des comptabilités nationales et élaboré un modèle économétrique de croissance à la fois réaliste et général. Nous proposons une synthèse des deux principales contributions théoriques et empiriques de Stone à l'analyse input-output, et aussi d'autres essais moins connus. Parmi les premiers, on peut mentionner les études de Stone sur l'intégration des tableaux d'input-output dans le système des comptes sociaux nationaux (« SNA »), ses recherches sur les matrices de comptabilité sociale (« SAM »), la détermination et la mise à jour des coefficients techniques (méthode « RAS »). En ce qui concerne les travaux moins connus, on peut mentionner la tentative d'appliquer la méthodologie input-output au niveau microéconomique. This paper highlights Richard Stone's contribution to input-output analysis, the relevance, originality and effectiveness of which are closely tied to the international and national positions he held during his professional life, especially in relation to the development of an international standard system of national accounts and the development of a comprehensive and realistic econometric model of growth. This paper provides an overview of the major theoretical and empirical contributions of Stone to input-output analysis, as well as some less well-known papers. Among the former, we may mention Stone's studies on the integration of input-output tables into the Social National Accounts (SNA), his research on the Social Accounting Matrices (SAM), the adjustment and updating of the technical coefficients (RAS method). Among the latter may be mentioned the attempt to apply the methods of input-output at the micro level.
