Résumé anglais |
The paper argues that Hugues de Lannoy is the author of Enseignement de vraie noblesse. It also questions the authorship of Instruction d'un jeune prince and of Enseignements paternels hitherto attributed by Charles Potvin to Hugues' brother Guillebert. Since neither Potvin nor the present paper can produce more than circumstantial evidence, the argumentation is comparative. However, if Potvin's arguments are valid, they must according to their own logic include Enseignement de vraie noblesse in the corpus of texts written by the same author. Once this is established, arguments in favour of Hugues clearly outnumber those in favour of Guillebert. Source : Éditeur (via Cairn.info) |
