René Gallissot a rejoint la revue dans le sillage de Jean Pronteau dès les années 1960, avant d'en devenir directeur dans les années 1980. Son témoignage permet de revenir sur l'histoire de la revue qu'il appréhende à partir de sa trajectoire personnelle, marquée par son ancrage personnel et scientifique sur le terrain algérien. Il analyse également le positionnement de la revue dans le champ des sciences sociales, marqué initialement par la recherche d'un marxisme-existentialisme et la distance à l'égard des structuralismes bourdieusiens et foucaldiens. René Gallissot joined the journal in the wake of Jean Pronteau in the 1960s, before becoming its director in the 1980s. His testimony allows to reconsider the history of the journal that he apprehends starting from his personal trajectory, marked by its personal and scientific anchorage on the Algerian terrain. He also analyzes the positioning of the journal in the field of social sciences, initially marked by the search for a marxism-existentialism and the distance with the bourdieu and foucaldiens structuralisms.
