Dans un contexte d'urbanisation accélérée, l'appartenance à l'ethnie et à la famille constitue un fait géographique essentiel et la seule réalité sociale vécue profondément. La communauté culturelle et économique à laquelle se rattache le néo-citadin, en fait, n'est pas limitée à la ville ; elle englobe dans un même réseau d'interrelations et de solidarité la ville et les villages. Certains groupes ethniques savent, mieux que d'autres, se servir ainsi d'un potentiel associatif performant. Migratory Behaviours and Ethnical Dynamisms in African Cities Ethnic and family factors constitute a geographical fact of prime importance, and the only social reality deeply experimenced in the context of a fast-growing urbanization. As a matter of fact, the cultural and economic community, where the new city-dweller belongs, is not limited to the city itself. It encompasses the city and villages in the same network of multilateral relations and solidarities. Some ethnic groups know how to use well-working, association-based potentialities.
