Cet article propose une lecture de la 8ème strophe de Mehr Meer d'Ilma Rakusa, paru en 2009 chez Droschl et traduit par Patricia Zurcher en 2012 sous le titre La Mer encore (Editions d'En bas). En 1949, dans une maison près de Ljubljana, la narratrice âgée de 3 ans découvre conjointement un jardin foisonnant, l'appréhension des départs dans les trains qui passent à l'horizon, et l'étrangeté d'une langue nouvelle. Quelle carte du monde dessinent pour l'enfant l'assemblage des mots slovènes SMRT, VRT, NOČ, VLAK, DAN et KRUH ? Comment passer de leur collection silencieuse à la parole ? This paper proposes a reading of the 8th strophe of Ilma Rakusa's Mehr Mehr, published in 2009 by Droschl and translated in 2012 by Patricia Zurcher as La Mer encore (Editions d'En Bas). In 1949, in a house near Ljubljana, the 3 year old narrator discovers all together a teeming garden, the apprehension of departures in trains that pass on the horizon, and the strangeness of a new language. What sort of a worldmap draws for a child the combination of slovenic words SMRT, VRT, NOČ, VLAK, DAN et KRUH ? From their quiet collection, how can you switch to some kind of language ?
