Le Parti communiste français s'est-il véritablement intéressé à l'œuvre d'Antonio Gramsci ? Notre article présente plusieurs étapes de la réception – discussion de l'œuvre du communiste italien au sein du PCF en soulignant des aspects méconnus, au-delà de la caricature habituelle selon laquelle Gramsci aurait été purement et simplement ignoré ou méprisé. Sans avoir une place centrale dans le « marxisme-léninisme » longtemps dominant, il a néanmoins été interrogé à plusieurs reprises et utilisé notamment par les intellectuels communistes afin de tenter une rénovation du marxisme. « The Misunderstandings of Hegemony » : Gramsci in the French Communist Party (1953-1983)Was the French Communist Party really interested in the work of Antonio Gramsci ? Our article presents several stages of the reception – with talks about the work of the Italian communist within the FCP stressing the unknown aspects, beyond the habitual caricature whereby Gramsci would have been purely and simply ignored or despised. Without having a central place in the long-time dominant « Marxism-Leninism », he was yet examined several times and notably used by the communist intellectuals in order to try and renovate Marxism.
