Résumé anglais Patrimonialisation of heritage between the local and the transnational. The case study of a project of “Fulani ecomuseum” in the region of Matam (Senegal)This paper explores the relations between cultural heritage creation and the migration experience, the latter triggering heritage-making. To this end, we study a project of “Fulani Ecomuseum” in the region of Matam in Senegal, carried out by a group of West African migrants in France. What is the significance of the mobilisation emerging in the name of “culture” in a migratory context ? What does it tell us about the “collectives” and networks set-up in this context ? What can we learn from the articulation between local migrant investment and transnational movements ? What can we learn about the difficulties to build a heritage in migration ?
