Résumé |
From Urban Topography to extended Metropolis : Recent Trends in Research on Ancient Rome This article insists on archaeological controversies and results which essentially concern the earliest centuries of Rome as well as the central area. The impact of ‘‘topographical revisionism'' is evoked on the basis of two specific issues, the Sacred Way and porticus Æmilia/Navalia. Recent trends in research seriously take ‘‘suburbium'' into account when studying ‘‘Urbs'', with the use of the concept of ‘‘extended metropolis''. Source : Éditeur (via Cairn.info) |
