De l'idéologisation de l'engagement communiste. Fragments d'une enquête sur les écoles du PCF (1970-1990) Nathalie Ethuin Jusqu'au début des années 1990, le PCF disposait d'un réseau d'écoles pour former et conformer ses militants et ses cadres à son idéologie officielle. Ces instances de socialisation partisane constituent une focale privilégiée pour étudier les processus d'idéologisation de l'engagement. A travers des entretiens avec des militants ayant fait leurs classes sur les bancs des écoles du parti, cet article rend compte des logiques d'appropriation des schèmes de pensée et des visions du monde promus par les dirigeants et les précepteurs communistes. L'analyse montre comment, pour des militants d'origine populaire, l'idéologie instillée par l'institution pouvait entrer en résonance avec une perception clivée du monde social, acquise le plus souvent dès l'enfance. About the Ideologization of Communist Commitment. Results from an Inquiry on the PCF Schools (1970-1990) Nathalie Ethuin Until the beginning of the 90's, the French Communist Party was relying on a network of schools to train militants and officiais according to the official ideology. Focusing on those partisan socialization devices provides with specifie analytical lenses to study the processes of ideologization. Drawing on interviews with militants who have attended the Party schools, the article investigates the mechanisms through which the interpretation schemes and world views promoted by the Communist leaders and tutors are made appropriate. It is argued that in the case of militants with working class origins, the ideology instilled by the institution is congruent with their own split perception of the social order - largely acquired since childhood.
