Ce texte cherche à évaluer deux positions contradictoires vis-à-vis de la notion de territoire et de celle de territorialisation comme processus. Dans un premier temps, les géographes se sont saisis de la notion depuis déjà longtemps et s'interrogent sur la validité des termes et leur pertinence aujourd'hui. Comme si le territoire, trop utilisé, était victime d'un « éreintement » du sens. Dans un second temps, le texte évoque le rebond de la notion dont les économistes commencent à s'emparer. This article attempts to evaluate two contradictory positions vis-‡-vis the notion of territory and the territorialization as a process. In a first time, geographers have taken the concept for a long time and questioned the validity of terms and their relevance today. As if the land, used too, was a victim of «exhaustion» of meaning. In a second step, the text refers to the rebound of the notion that economists are beginning to seize. There would be a sublimation of the concept which gives meaning and operability.
