| Résumé |
Depuis la chute du communisme, la Roumanie connaît une immigration chinoise notable. Celle-ci, encore méconnue des chercheurs, est largement le fait de commerçants venus en pionniers et rejoints par la suite par d'autres catégories de migrants. Cette immigration sera appréhendée à travers son insertion dans le tissu social, économique, politique et institutionnel roumain. Ces entrepreneurs, qui ont vite attiré l'attention des autorités et des médias nationaux, sont concentrés dans la capitale où ils ont rencontré une structure d'opportunité favorable à leurs activités commerciales ; très présents sur les marchés bucarestois, ils participent du processus d'ethnicisation de l'économie et du marché de l'emploi. La réussite économique ne touche pourtant qu'une partie d'entre eux et les évolutions de la politique migratoire roumaine renforcent les déséquilibres internes à la population chinoise en favorisant un petit nombre d'hommes d'affaires chinois. Abstract : The Chinese immigration has emerged in Romania since the collapse of Communism. Still under researched, these new flows first concerned a population of traders; other categories of migrants came later. Their migration will be analysed though its embeddedness in the social, economic, political and institutional environment in Romania. The Chinese traders – who soon attracted attention from authorities and the national media – are concentrated in Bucarest. There they benefit from an opportunity-structure which sustained their commercial activities. They play an important role on the open air markets of the capital and take part to the ethnicization process that is nowadays occurring in the economy and the labour market. Only part of them are however economically successful. Furthermore, changes in Romania's immigration policy have increased disparities within the Chinese population by favouring a few important businessmen. Source : Éditeur (via Cairn.info) |
