Cet article soutient que l'institution du transport pour tiers, qui historiquement est à la base du mode de distribution des télécommunications, ne survivra pas. L'article étudie tout d'abord la signification du transport pour tiers et la manière avec laquelle il est apparu. Puis il analyse les pressions présentes et à venir exercées sur le système du transport pour tiers. This article argues that the institution of the common carrier, which historically is the basis of telecommunications distribution, will not survive. First, it analyses the meaning of common carrier and the way in which it appeared. It then considers current and future pressures on the common carrier system.
