La représentation de l'État au service de l'intérêt général et du bien commun est aujourd'hui confrontée à de profondes mutations qui ont fait évoluer ses principes et ses fondements et mettent en cause sa légitimité. La capacité de l'État à promouvoir et porter un projet collectif et à demeurer un acteur pertinent des politiques publiques se trouve ainsi questionnée. Pourtant, l'État ne disparaît pas et n'a pas vocation à s'effacer à moyen terme. En revanche, ces mutations doivent le conduire à se réformer et à repenser son positionnement par rapport aux autres acteurs publics et privés, comme sur la scène internationale, afin de continuer à servir, dans un contexte nouveau, l'intérêt général. Being a State servant today The depiction of the State at the service of the public interest and the common good now faces deep transformations that challenge its legitimacy, its principles and its foundations. In particular, the ability of the State to promote public policies and carry a collective project is questioned. Yet, the State hasn't faded away, nor should it be the case in the near future. These transformations must however lead it to reform itself and to rethink its position with respect to other private and public actors, as well as on the international stage, in order to keep on acting in the public interest.
