Cet article analyse un exemple de ségrégation scolaire en France. L'exemple étudié s'inscrit dans un territoire, Melun en Seine-et-Marne, marqué par une représentation spatiale de la ségrégation résidentielle reproduite dans la division des secteurs scolaires. Il s'agit alors de comprendre l'impact des représentations et des orientations des parents d'élèves et des acteurs institutionnels : le conseil départemental, en charge de la sectorisation, et la DSDEN (Direction des services départementaux de l'Éducation nationale) en charge de l'affectation des élèves, dans la constitution de l'identité d'un collège ghetto. This article analyzes an example of school segregation in France. The example studied is rooted into a territory, Melun in Seine-et-Marne, marked by spatial representation of the residential segregation reproduced by the division of the school recruitment sectors. It is then necessary to analyze the impact of the representations and orientations of the parents and the institutional stakeholders : the departmental council, in charge of the sectorization, and the DSDEN (Direction of the Departmental Services of the National Education) in charge of the assignment of students, in order to understand the constitution of the identity of a ghetto middle-school.
