Le dialogue engagé autour de l'écriture des romans de Farah se nourrit de discussions, de lectures et d'un échange dépassant l'œuvre individuelle pour s'inscrire dans un projet éditorial qui est aussi celui de la maison Le Quartanier. S'appuyant sur des exemples concrets du dialogue à la fois intime et distant avec son éditeur, Farah relève que l'écoute y est fondamentale. In fifteen fragments Alain Farah recounts the literary adventures that connect him with his editor and mentor Éric de Larochellière. Their profound dialogue on the writing of Farah's novels is fed by discussions, reading and an exchange that–well beyond the individual book–has become part of an editorial project that coincides with the publishing house Le Quartanier. Based on concrete examples of this dialogue both intimate and distant with his editor, Farah emphasises the fundamental nature of listening.
