L'article, pensé « à chaud » après la tragédie qui a commencé à Paris le 7 janvier 2015, cherche à substituer un vocabulaire alternatif d'analyse des événements aux proclamations de certains politiques – souvent vides et hypocrites – appelant à « éviter l'amalgame ». Il montre qu'il est nécessaire de pluraliser et de complexifier notre lexique pour désigner des phénomènes qui relèvent avant tout du politique et des crises d'un monde commun et profane. L'article s'achève en ouvrant une perspective d'analyse socio-historique sur la façon dont la racialisation de l'« islam » et du « religieux » rejoue un refoulé colonial. This article, written just after the 7th of January 2015, tries to engage with the political situation in the aftermath of the event. The first part articulates an alternative vocabulary for describing contemporary terrorism as a substitute for the hypocritical and abstract condemnation of any sort of confusion between islam and terrorism. It tries briefly to address the problem of contemporary terrorism as being a modern political phenomenon having much more to do with a crisis of a common world than with a so-called « return of the religious » or with « Islam ». It ends by raising some questions about the way racializations of Muslims and « religion » can be seen as post-colonial effects in contemporary France. Source : Éditeur (via Cairn.info) |
