Il s'est passé dans le camp-bidonville de Calais en quelques mois des phénomènes, certes minimalistes mais bien réels, d'aménagement de l'espace, de socialisation, d'échanges avec les habitants et de politisation des occupants, qu'on retrouve en général dans les camps contemporains, mais qui ont eu lieu ici en accéléré. L'exemple de Calais permet de nouvelles réflexions sur le lieu des Sans-État aujourd'hui, sur l'édification d'un nouveau monde dans le monde, peuplé par eux et par ceux qui les accompagnent ou les visitent. Many things have happened in the Calais camp-slum within a few months, small but real and meaningful, in terms of space allocation, socialization, exchanges with the locals and politicization of the migrants — things that are common in many camps but which happened here in a fast-forward mode, and which call for new thoughts on the place of the Stateless, on the construction of a new world within the world, inhabited by migrants, by those who accompany or visit them.
