Résumé. - Les perspectives d'aménagement du territoire ont largement retenu l'attention de la Commission chargée en 1987 de proposer un tracé pour le T. G. V. Nord. Ces préoccupations d'aménagement se sont situées à diverses échelles; prise en considération du nouvel espace européen raccourci par les gains de temps, restruction du réseau de transport dans le Nord de la France au regard des flux attendus de Grande-Bretagne et du Bénélux, développement des pôles urbains par la greffe de puissants centres d'activités tertiaires. Les aspects européens, français, régionaux, voire urbains de l'aménagement, interfèrent dans des options confrontées par ailleurs à des contraintes diverses, tenant au coût des projets, à la préservation de l'environnement, aux souhaits de rentabilité des compagnies de transports. Face à ces problèmes complexes, aux données parfois contradictoires, les choix reflètent également la stratégie des acteurs, en particulier au niveau de la défense des intérêts régionaux. Abstract. - The possibilities of planning the national area have caught the attention of the Commission in charge of proposing the layout of the Northern Very Fast Train line (T.G.V.). The planning problems have been discussed at various scales, ranging from taking into account such issues as the new European space created by the shortening of travel times, as the remodelling of the transport network in Northern France due to the increasing travelling from Great Britain and Benelux, and as the development of the towns realized by the construction of important service centers. Planning aspects considering European, French, regional and even urban points of view are twinned into various solutions hampered by such problems as financial restraints, as the compulsory preservation of environment and as the benefit desire of the transport companies. The choices made concerning the layout are showing both these complicated problems based on sometimes contradictory data, and the strategies of the policy-markers, specially regarding issues defending regional interests.
