| Résumé |
L'objectif de cet article est de revenir sur l'évolution du groupe « Dynamiques de Proximité », analysé ici comme une communauté de connaissance. Si la notion de proximité s'est affirmée comme outil original d'analyse de la dimension spatiale des phénomènes économiques et sociaux, elle a été développée et popularisée par un groupe de chercheurs, pour connaître un engouement international. À partir de la constitution d'une base de données recensant les productions de ce groupe entre 1990 et 2014, nous mobilisons des outils d'analyse réseaux afin d'en caractériser la dynamique. Trois étapes marquant l'évolution de cette Communauté de Connaissance sont identifiées. Le papier montre que le travail de conceptualisation et d'opérationnalisation mené par le groupe a permis d'en faire un concept largement utilisé par les chercheurs mais aussi les praticiens. Paradoxalement, ce succès aboutit à un certain dessaisissement par la communauté de connaissance initiale dont les frontières tendent à se fondre dans d'autres collectifs scientifiques. Proximity: birth and growth of a knowledge community The concept of proximity has an international infatuation as an original tool for analyzing the spatial dimension of economic and social phenomena. The objective of this paper is to return to the evolution of this notion in relation to the research group "Dynamics of Proximity" analyzed as a community of knowledge. From specific a database listing the group's productions between 1990 and 2014, we use social network analysis to characterize the consolidation of the framework. We identified three main stages of the group evolution linked with the enrichment of this notion. The paper shows that the work of conceptualization and operationalization conducted by the group has made it a concept widely used by researchers but also practitioners. Paradoxically, this success leads to a divestment by the community of initial knowledge whose boundaries tend to merge with other scientific groups. Source : Éditeur (via Cairn.info) |
