Moi, Pierre Rivière, ... réunit les caractères scientifiques d'un cas d'école approprié
aux questions théoriques de chaque membre du groupe réuni par Michel Foucault.
Chacun l'a traité librement, à sa manière et de son point de vue. Le cas présentait un
être faible qui s'est trouvé pris dans un engrenage. Pierre Rivière fait partie des quatre
figures exemplaires qui posent la question du partage entre l'humain et l'inhumain.
René Allio était sensible aux douleurs et aux révoltes propres à l'univers des simples.
Son scénario rend compte, mot à mot, du dossier. Et grâce à des procédés filmiques, il
a réussi à construire une dramaturgie savante, dimension de l'affaire à laquelle Michel

I, Pierre Rivière, ... gathers the scientific characteristics of a exemplary case in line
with the theorical questions of each member of the group formed by Michel Foucault.
Everyone treated it freely, in their own way and from their own point of view. The case
presented a weak character who got caught in a spiral of violence. Pierre Rivière
belongs to the four exemplary characters who raise the question of the sharing between
the human and the inhuman. René Allio was concerned about the pains and the revolts
wich in the lot of the simple-minded. His scenario is a word account the file. And thanks
to cinema techniques, he succeeded in building a very rich and sophisticated drama, a
