La paupérisation d'une partie croissante de la population aux États-Unis remet en
cause la crédibilité du système économique américain et sa capacité à concilier efficacité et justice sociale. Les mutations récentes du système économique dans ce pays sont
une explication possible à cette situation. En effet, elles altèrent les procédures qui
permettent à un individu de participer à la création et la distribution de richesses dans

The pauparisation of a growing part of the population in the USA questions the
credibility of the american economic system and its ability to conciliate efficiency and
social justice. Recent mutations in the economic system in that country are a possible
explanation for this situation. They indeed affect the process that allow a person to
