Les auteurs s'attachent à expliciter la place singulière qu'occupe le supporterisme pour le Racing Club de Lens dans le football professionnel français. Ils
insistent sur l'ancienneté des réseaux de supporters, apparus dans les années 1930
et sur les liens étroits que la direction du Racing Club a toujours entretenus avec les
groupes de supporters. Depuis la période minière jusqu'à l'époque contemporaine
le club a contribué de manière permanente à l'organisation et à la structuration du
supporterisme « sang et or », cherchant à diffuser ses conceptions du « bon
supporter ». Pourtant celles-ci sont désormais contestées par des groupes autonomes qui s'inspirent de la mouvance « ultra » et s'inscrivent en rupture avec le

The authors' point is to explain the particular place of supporterism for the
Racing Club of Lens in French professional soccer. They insist on the age of
supporters'networks, which appeared in the 1930's and on the close links the
R. C. L.'s managers hâve always kept with the groups of supporters. Since the era of
the mine until now the club has always contributed to the organisation and structuration of the « blood and gold » supporterism, trying to spread its notions of « the
good supporter ». Yet these notions are now being questioned by autonomous
groups which draw their inspiration from the « ultra » movement and subscribe
