| Résumé anglais | The staging of the body during the Belle Epoque, André Rauch. By renewing genres and styles, cafés concerts and music halls changed the landscape of Paris shows. A new type of leisure appeared and spread. In baring bodies, these performances created new emotions and other ways of ritualizing shows. Spectators were kept at a distance from the stage and showed their feelings by words, violence being stylized and codified. A new culture spread through cities, bringing different ways of occupying and investing space. | |
