Cet article explore l'imaginaire de Port-Saïd dans le cinéma du canal de Suez, dont la naissance et le développement sont étroitement liés à l'histoire de ce dernier. Trois fictions cinématographiques emblématiques de Port-Saïd à l'écran illustrent le topos du voyage envisagé comme dimension structurelle de la ville-port. Itinéraire menant à une extraterritorialité et médiation entre sujets, territoires et cultures, le voyage est pris en charge par des genres, des formes et des motifs cinématographiques qui produisent un imaginaire spécifique de la ville. L'étude poursuit la manière dont le topos du voyage s'inscrit dans quatre figures principales (balnéaire, urbaine, portuaire et guerrière) qui composent l'imaginaire cinématographique de Port-Saïd. The Cinematic Imaginary of Port-Said This article explores the imaginary of Port-Said in the cinema of the Suez Canal, whose birth and development are closely linked to its history. Three iconic cinematographic fictions of Port-Said illustrate the topos of travel envisaged as a structural dimension of the port city. A journey leading to extraterritoriality, and mediation between subjects, territories and cultures, travel is supported by filmic genres, forms and cinematographic motifs that produce a specific imagination of the city. The study aims to determine the way in which the topos of travel fits into four main figures (seaside, urban, port and warrior) that make up the cinematic imaginary of Port-Said.
