Résumé anglais Dictionnaire d'Amour by J.-f. Dreux du Radier translated into Russian The Dictionnaire d''Amour, dans lequel on trouvera l''explication des termes les plus usités dans cette langue (1741) by J.-F. Dreux du radier (1714-1790) was translated into russian in the 1768 with the title Любовный лексикон, by a. v. Khrapovitsky (1749-1801). the French author had ironically interpreted some notions in use of the high society. the translator changed the composition of the whole book in way to dispose the articles in order of the russian alphabet. Khrapovitsky considerably shorted the Dictionnaire in translation. he often shorted or completed the chosen articles, adding elements of russification. Not seeking a literally translation, Khrapovitsky interpreted in his way some notions (articles vertu «Добродетель » , Aimer «Любить » at alias). «Любовный лексикон » by Khrapovitsky was reedited in the 1779 by N. I. Novikov who often derided the dandies and women of fashion and their peculiar language in his reviews. In spite of his strongly critical attitude towards the gallomania, Khrapovitsky apprehended the culture of the French wit asked-for by the russian readers.
