Résumé anglais The “ Russian French” in Moscow in 1812 Images of the Enemy and Destiny of an Emigrant Community This article deals with the question of the situation of French émigrés in Moscow before and during its occupation by the Napoleonic army. The Russian government, some social groups and Moscow authorities built the image of an interior enemy and it complicated the conditions of life of the French community in Moscow. During the occupation, some French people were involved in the municipality created by the occupational authorities in Moscow. However, only a few of them were sentenced after Moscow was liberated by the Russian army.
