La communication s'inscrit dans le programme de toute entreprise métaphysique depuis Platon. Les technologies contemporaines en héritent la préoccupation, en imaginant instaurer ce que les philosophes auraient seulement pensé. Mais l'échec des technologies révèle une impossibilité de fond, qui explique sans doute le geste reconduit des métaphysiques : vouloir établir la continuité entre toutes réalités grâce aux technologies, c'est produire en réalité une déstructuration qui équivaut à une incommunication. Et si cette incommunication était justement le gage de la résistance à opposer aux prétentions des technologies ? Et si elle était justement ce qui donne à penser… ? Since Plato, communication has been included within the purview of all metaphysical undertakings. Current technology, which has inherited this concern, supposes that it is able to realize what earlier philosophers could only imagine. However, the failure of these technologies shows that there is a fundamental impossibility, one that probably explains the continuing effort of metaphysics to establish a continuity among all realities by means of technology ; this actually involves a destructuring that is tantamount to a form of incommunication.
