The French army's historical department is continuing the publication of its archives concerning the Algerian war with a book devoted to the period between wars, 1945-1954. Ample documentation is given of the blind self-confidence of the French administration, the intransigeance of the Europeans of Algeria and the more and more visible growth of a national feeling among the Algerians. | |
